Turn PDF drawings into a priced, verified BOM.
Prana reads drawings, extracts the parts, verifies part numbers, and builds the BOM. When something isn't clear, it sends it to a person for review.
The problem
The drawing is a PDF. The BOM is still manual.
Before a quote can be priced, someone has to read the drawing, interpret the notes, and rebuild the BOM in a spreadsheet.
What slows the quote down
- Scanned drawings, old revisions, and handwritten markups
- Part numbers that are obsolete, inconsistent, or manufacturer-specific
- Notes and callouts that require interpretation
- Pricing that can't start until the BOM is rebuilt
Prana removes the busywork
- Extracts instead of retyping
- Resolves old and alternate part numbers
- Flags uncertainty instead of guessing
- Outputs directly into your existing format
What we build
Built for the quoting desk.
Prana handles the work between the drawing and the quote.
What we built
2-week discovery
Start with your drawings, not a demo.
The audit is a specific map of this stack, the drawing formats, the AVL, the cost sources, and the review gate. It is not a generic strategy deck.
Inventory
Your drawing formats, AVL, cost sources, and the quote template you use today.
Trace
A few quotes, walked from drawing to priced BOM, with every retype and lookup noted along the way.
Match
Part-number formats, cross-references, and the confidence thresholds for what gets flagged to a buyer.
Find
You name the drawing types that matter most and the output format you need. That becomes the first build.
Proof
It runs on real drawings, not clean ones.
A scanned drawing with handwritten notes goes in. Prana reads the part list and notes together, so a “service use only” callout becomes a quantity of zero, not a part to quote.
Mil-spec and customer-specific part numbers are resolved to manufacturer part numbers, checked against your AVL, and matched to current distributor data. Obsolete or superseded parts are flagged rather than quoted.
Every line gets a confidence score. Low-confidence matches go to a buyer for review. Cleared lines land in your BOM template, and the estimator approves pricing before anything leaves the shop.
FAQ
Common questions
Two weeks. We review your drawings, AVL, and quote materials, then define what to automate and how to build it.
We start with your drawings, AVL, and cost sources. ERP or QMS integrations come later, once we know what the workflow requires.
Yes. We start with the difficult drawings you actually receive. If Prana can't read something confidently, it flags it rather than guessing.
Least-privilege access. Customer drawings and cost files stay in your control. We sign an NDA and work inside your IT requirements. We do not copy production logins into a shared vault we own.
No. Your estimator reviews and approves pricing before the quote goes out.
